Sirimon route starts from the northwest of the mountain. From the first camp (oldmoses) the path splits on the moorland one path towards liki north camp and the other path towards likii north valley then mackinders valley heading to shiptons camp. 

 It is one of the easiest routes and good for families with kids and with people with little time to climb the mountain. 

 In these route you can either do camping or stay in bunkhouses wich are shared and sometimes are conjested during peak seasons. 

You can ascend through sirimon out narumoru or sirimon out sirimon or sirimon out chogoria.

Depart from nairobi 0600hrs to nanyuki a 3hrs drive then to sirimon gate and have lunch,afrer lunch we start our wak at sirimon gate which is (2650masl) to oldmoses camp through a rain forest past equator line. A 3 to 4 hrs walk 9kms. We have tea and dinner and spend night at old moses which is (3300masl).
On the forest you might see collumbus monkeys, baboons.

Have breakfast then procced towards shiptons through liki valley and makinders valley passing trhrough moorkand and different types of loberia plantations. Have lunch on the way then at shiptons which is (4200masl) we have tea and dinner and spend a night.
At shiptons you will be able to see rocks hyraxes.
The walk will take about 6 to 7 hours(14.5kms)

Wake at aroud 2:30 am, cloth warmly as its cold in the early morning,have a cup of tea or cofee and some cookies. At around 3:00am we start ascending through a steep stony quarry that cuts through a cliff taking about 3hrs to get to the summit at about 6:15 to 6:30am for sun rise. Summit point lenana is (4985masl). from shiptons to the summit is 3kms
After taking pictures we slowly descend back to shiptons camp for about 2hrs and have breakfast and an hour rest,then we slowly walking back towards oldmoses camp for about 4 t0 5 hrs. Lunch might be on the way or at old moses.
We have tea and dinner and spend night at oldmoses.

We have breakfast then we walk down towards the sirimon gate ,at the gate we connect with the transfer vehicle to your next destination.

How fit do I need to be to do this trek?

This is a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.
